Community Organizer

As a growing organization, FJNWA is hiring a Community Organizer focused on food justice and food sovereignty in the NW Aurora community. We seek a talented and passionate person who is committed to community-led transformation. This team member will serve as the lead for community organizing and community leadership development. They will work to increase breadth and depth of relationships with residents, community leaders, and partners in NW Aurora; work with community to identify priority issues related to food, agriculture, and community wealth building; organize and facilitate organizing action teams around priority issues; build on community strengths and talents to advance community-driven initiatives; and support advocacy efforts to advance policy, systems, and environment changes.
